What Really Matters to You?

Last month, we asked you what we could do to be a better partner and you shared. We appreciate the candid input that received!

Here are the top 3 requests we received:

1. "We need the online sales tool back."
We have a new website, www.PVCportal.com. The site has two sections: Marketing Resources and Tracking & Ordering. In the Marketing Resources section, you'll find many of the tools that were once password protected like brochures, order forms and images.

If you are a "power" user and place more than 20 online orders per year, then the Tracking & Ordering section may be just right for you. However, online ordering may not be for everyone, and since we enjoy assisting our customers with their orders and interacting with so many of you, we will also continue taking orders by phone. If you'd like to obtain a password for ordering online, please email marketing@plastimayd.com.

2. "Please include the PO number on our invoices."
Done. When we switched over to our new system, we had a small system glitch. That has been corrected. Invoices will include the PO number or the reference name.

3. "Lower your prices."
With all sincerity and transparency, our goal is not to be the lowest cost provider. Our top priority is delivering the best quality products in the industry at competitive prices. We develop, source all materials, manufacture and package all our products in North America, and we do not cut corners. We do, however, have the Value Series product line which may be a option when budgets are extremely tight. Please ask your salesperson for details.

Again, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to share your thoughts. We always welcome your input and will continue to listen. Feel free to contact me any time!

KEVIN'S KORNER
Top 10 Things NOT to Forget

10. When the kids are impatient and the customer HAS to have that liner fast, use a Silver Bullet. $160. That money is often well spent just so the kiddos stop complaining.

9. When plotting a pool (A/B measurements) record all measurements to a 1/4" tolerance.

8. We sell Q-VACs. They help secure a perfect fit and save you a little time too. Mention this newsletter when you place your order and get $25.00 off.

7. Order Forms. Check Twice. Enough Said.

6. Listening to good music at the job site makes even the toughest projects so much better.

5. Drink a lot of water! Ice with that water is always good. When you get hot and frustrated you can chomp on the ice.

4. $50.00 Homeowner rebate through September 1st. Ask us for rebate stuffers that you can use in mailings or handout to your customers.

3. Your wife's birthday. Yep, I think I did that once. ONLY ONCE. It was a VERY expensive mistake.

2. Mention pool covers when you talk to your homeowners. They will thank you and so will their backyard. It will look so much nicer at the opening next year. $50.00 Homeowner Rebate on Covers too.

...Now, for the #1 thing NOT to forget, drum roll please...

1. Your customer's name and address. Fuel is too expensive to be driving around the neighborhood aimlessly looking. AND you know what they say about first impressions!

SMART MONEY

How Many Licks Does it Take?

So you're walking around the pool, manually unscrewing the "bolts" that were drilled into the cement to secure the safety cover, and you think, "Shouldn't there be a fancy tool for that?"

Then your mind wanders to that commercial from a long time ago - "How many licks DOES it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?" All this twisting. Will it never end?

There has got to be a better way, right? Good news! There is, and we have it. The Anchor Extractor!

(For the record, I wanted to call it the "Anchor Yanker" but was vetoed by the product guys.)

Save your time, money and sanity!
